PM Shri Narendra Modiji inaugarates Pune Metro Phase 1
Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji inaugurated and gave a green signal to Phase 1 of Pune Metro today at Garware College Station at 11.25 am. He was given a synopsis about the metro project by Metro RIL – M.D. Shri. Brijesh Dixit.
He was the first one to buy ticket through his mobile and travel in Metro from Garware College station to Anand Nagar Metro Station. While the journey, he spoke with Divyang students and other students as well.
Esteemed guests were present during the occasion: Shri Murlidhar Mohol (Mayor of Pune), Shri Devendra Phadnavis (Ex-CM Maharashtra), Shri Ajit Pawar (Deputy C.M.), Shri Eknath Shinde, Bhagat Singh Koshiyari (Governor of Maharashtra), Shri Prakash Jawadekar (Ex-Rajya Sabha Member), Shri Subhash Desai (Minister of Industries and Mining), Shri Ramdas Aathavale (Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment), Smt. Mai Dhore (Mayor of Pimpri-Chinchwad), Shri Pravin Darekar (Leader of Opposition – Upper House), Girish Bapat (Member – Loksabha), Shri Chandrakant Patil (President –BJP), His Excellency Satoshi Suzuki (Ambassador of Japan), His Excellency Emmanuel Lenain (Ambassador of France) and other esteemed guests.
North-South Corridor (PCMC to Phugewadi) and East-West Corridor (Vanaz to Garware College) are open to Punekers from 3 pm onwards.
