New Science Park building inaugurated in Savitribai Phule University

The Science Park which was started at Savitribai Phule Pune University in the year 2014 got shifted to a new building to generate curiosity in the minds of children.
The new building inauguration was done by Baba Kalyani, (Chairman and E.D.: Bharat Forge company), Dr. Anand Deshpande (Founder president of Persistent Company), Dr. Pramod Chaudhary (Praj Industries).
The Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Karmalkar, Vice Chancellor Dr. NS Umrani, Registrar Dr. Praful Pawar, Coordinator of Science Park Dilip Kanhere were also present during the event.  The dignitaries inspected the experiments presented by the students. Various experiments from biology to actual model were presented in it.

The New state of the art building is 15,000 square feet. Apart from Microbiology and Chemistry Laboratory four other separate laboratories have also been made available. There is also a launch pad / chamber available for displaying science documentaries and two telescopes for space observation.
Apart from imparting information on science to students through scientific projects created in the fields of biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics and other subjects, regular tours are conducted here for students on various environmental elements of the university campus. So far, thousands of students have visited this science park, said Dr Dilip Kanhere, coordinator of the park.
