Katraj Snake park,Pune

Katraj Snek park was set up by Mr. Neelam Kumar Kahire in the year 1986 which was later incorporated in the Rajiv Gandhi Udyan in 1999.This place is near Katraj Bus depot and about 8 kms from pune. You can get 6 seater autos from swargate.There are more than 160 species of anakes here .
The snake park came into existence in the year 1986, with the help of Pune Municipal Corporation. It is situated on the Pune-Satara Highway near Bharati Vidyapeeth Campus. The straight road emanating from Swargate reaches to the desired destination. The prize collection is of course the six-year-old, nine feet long King Cobra. 

Located in Katraj, this snake park is home to a number of snakes and other reptiles like crocodiles. One can see Snakes of diferent shapes and sizes in the park. Information about snakes with pictures is displayed in a library within the park. A zoo has also been recently added, making it an attractive tourist place, especially for children.

Entry Fee for Adults is Rs. 3 and that for Children is Rs. 2.
It remains open from 10:30am to 5:30pm, and remains closed on every Wednesday.
