Bund Garden

Bund Garden is Situated at a distance of just two kilometres from the Pune railway station is the popular attraction of Pune city. The picturesque Bund Garden was constructed on the instructions of Sir Jamshedji Jeejeebhoy with an aim to provide water for farming to the poor.Bund Garden received its name from mini dam (Bund) which has been constructed across the Muen -Mutha River and is situated on the right bank of the Mula-Mutha River. The garden is an ideal place to spend some family time as you can enjoy boating in the backwaters of the River Mula-Mutha at the garden, go for horse riding or can enjoy magic shows that are occasionally held at the garden.

 

 

Bund Garden is also known as a birds watchers’ paradise in the winter season as variety of migratory birds take shelter here from the cold climatic conditions elsewhere. Adding to the popularity of this picturesque garden is a plethora of flora and fauna in addition to an aesthetically designed jogging track that has been constructed at a very close distance from the main garden. The jogging track invites a horde of health conscious visitors both in the mornings and evenings.

With its beautifully landscape, variety of flora and fauna, Bund Garden is a popular hangout for both locals as well as tourists alike and is a must visit tourist attraction in the city.
The best time to visit Bund Gardens in Pune is between September and April when the weather is pleasant enough to enjoy the beauty of the garden. There is a Ganesh temple situated in the vicinity of the park too.

Bund Garden is open to all Days throughout the year.
