CM Fadnavis Said Pune To Be Developed As Start-up Hub

Pune is emerging as one of the fast developing city with many new projects and establishments are being roped into the city. Popularly known as the educational hub of the state and also emerged as the IT Hub in over past decade, Pune is attracting many new aspiring entrepreneurs. Many new International organizations are established in the industrial areas of Chakan, Bhosari which has come up as a global face in the recent years.
It is good news for the city as it is going to add another feather of achievement with recently honorable chief minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadnavis declared that the state government is thinking of developing a Start-up hub in the city. He added that conditions are favorable in Pune and bears the right ecosystem that can beat Bengaluru as the start-up capital of the country.

Traffic Changes In Pune As Palkhis Arrive Today

With the annual Palkhi processions of Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dhyaneshwar Maharaj, scheduled to be arrived in Pune city on Wednesday, 29th of June, 2016, so that traffic on some of the major roads of city will get affected from Tuesday to Friday. Traffic on the route of processions will be closed to avoid the pilgrims inconvenience. The Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi who began its procession from Dehu on Monday would be halting at the Nivdung Vithoba Temple in Nana Peth, while, the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi who started its procession from Alandi on Tuesday, would be halting at the Palkhi Vithoba Temple in Bhavani Peth. Both the processions would meet Wakdewadi on the Pune – Mumbai highway here on Wednesday.

Force Motors Opens New 100 Crore Plant in Chakan for Mercedes-Benz Engines 

Pune based Force Motor on Wednesday, 22nd of June,2016, has inaugurated its brand new manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, which will be supplying green field engines and axles to India’s biggest luxury car makers, Mercedes-Benz. This newest manufacturing plant built with investment of RS 100 crores. The company stated that their main aim behind the launch of new plant is to be even more flexible in terms of production capacity demands. Mercedes -Benz India and SUV’s entered into the partnership with Pune based car manufacturing company since year 1997 for the production of engines. Force Motors has supplied over 60,000 engines as well as over 50,000 axles to Mercedes- Benz, till date.

It was a proud and honoring moment for all of us as a citizen of Pune, when students from College of Engineering (COEP) successfully launched the cube shaped academic satellite “Swayam” alongside 19 others on Wednesday 22nd June 2016.It is truly a delightful and appreciating juncture with the students are also contributing in the satellite mission . It was a historical moment for India when they successfully launched a rocket carrying 20 satellites from Sriharikota Island in eastern Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. It’s the most number of satellite India has launched in one go in the history of space program of which one consisted Swayam build by Students of Engineering college from Pune.

Pune’s Smart City Plan: 14 Projects Launched by PM Modi 

On Saturday, 25th of June, 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, launched the government’s flagship smart city mission in total 20 cities across the nation from Pune, Making a strong pitch to assess urbanisation as an opportunity and not as a problem. He stated that cities have to be more strengthened through comprehensive and inter connected approach that combined with increased participation of public. The Smart city plan consists of total 83 projects. So, giving boost to India’s Infrastructure dreams, PM Modi inaugurated 14 projects under Pune’s flagship Smart City Plan, by releasing the mission guidelines in the program of First anniversary launch of this mission.
